Fear tax: cutting winners at the first wobble, collecting pennies while the plan promised dollars. Hope tax: moving stops to avoid admitting a loss. Greed tax: doubling size after wins until one loss claims the streak.
Every trader pays these taxes until process removes the choice.
A written plan decides entries, exits, size and stop before money is at risk, while you are calm. Execution then becomes clerical rather than emotional.
If a decision must be made mid trade, the plan was incomplete. Note it, close the trade, fix the plan.
Copying a disciplined strategy sidesteps the emotional battlefield entirely: the rules live in someone else's process and your interference is the only remaining risk.
The hardest part of copy trading is genuinely doing nothing. That is also its greatest gift to a beginner.
